Robinson Helicopter Company requires every R44 to be completely overhauled at 2,200 hours or 12 calendar years, whichever comes first. The overhaul is not optional — without it, your aircraft is grounded.
We are an authorized Robinson Service Center and FAA Part 145 Repair Station. Our shop performs R44 overhauls to factory specification using genuine Robinson parts, with full logbook documentation and return-to-service paperwork. When the helicopter leaves our hangar, you have effectively a brand-new airframe with another 2,200 hours / 12 years ahead of it.
What's Included in the Overhaul
Airframe Disassembly & Inspection
Full teardown of airframe, tail boom, and skids. NDT inspection of all critical hardware. Replacement of all life-limited parts per Robinson SB AW-126 / AW-128.
Main & Tail Rotor Systems
New main rotor blades, tail rotor blades, hub, swashplate, and spindles installed per Robinson factory standards.
Drivetrain & Transmission
Main and tail rotor gearboxes overhauled or exchanged. Drive belts, sprag clutch, and intermediate flex couplings replaced.
Engine Overhaul
Lycoming O-540 or IO-540 sent to a factory-authorized engine shop for overhaul and returned with full logbook documentation.
Avionics, Wiring & Instruments
Instrument panel, wiring harnesses, and antennas inspected. Optional avionics upgrades installed during the rebuild window.
Test Flight & Logbook Closeout
Full ground runs, hover checks, and FAA-certified test flight by our owner. Logbook entries, AD compliance, and return-to-service paperwork provided.
Turnaround Time
Typical R44 overhaul completes in 8–12 weeks once the aircraft and exchange components are in our shop.
Genuine Robinson Parts
We exclusively use Robinson factory parts and follow the published overhaul service letters and bulletins.
Trade-Up Option
