A&P Practical Tests Administered On-Site
We hold an FAA Designated Mechanic Examiner (DME) appointment and administer the oral and practical portions of the FAA Aviation Mechanic certification at our Bulverde, Texas facility. Whether you graduated from a Part 147 school or qualified through documented experience, we'll get you scheduled and ready to test.
Test Sections We Administer
General (G)
Required of every applicant — covers basic mechanic knowledge, regulations, math, physics, and tools.
Airframe (A)
Sheet metal, fabric, composites, hydraulics, fuel, electrical, instruments, and assembly/rigging.
Powerplant (P)
Reciprocating and turbine engines, propellers, fuel metering, ignition, and engine systems.
What to Bring on Test Day
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- FAA Form 8610-2 properly endorsed
- Computer (Knowledge) Test Reports for the section(s) you'll test
- Hand tools, calculator, and reference materials as appropriate
- Examiner fee (call for current rate)
Examiner Fee Schedule
Fees are set by the examiner and payable on test day. Initial-test rates vary based on aircraft and prep — call for a current quote. Retest fees are fixed.
