    Two-Seat Piston Trainer

    Robinson R-22

Robinson R-22 Beta II two-seat piston helicopter in flight over mountainous terrain

Superior performance, outstanding reliability, and exceptional value have made the two-seater Robinson R-22 the world's most popular entry-level helicopter for nearly two decades. More than 3,600 R-22 helicopters have been delivered to more than 60 countries around the globe. The R-22 holds major performance records in its weight class, including speed and distance. The latest R-22 Beta II is still sensibly priced with the industry's lowest cost of operation.

The Beta II is generously equipped and offers a wide selection of options. Standard features include a precision-engineered RPM governor, a durable rotor brake, an auxiliary fuel system for added versatility and increased range, plus a high-quality voice-activated intercom. The Beta II's clean aerodynamic design allows a high cruise speed of up to 110 mph and an average fuel consumption of only 7 to 10 gallons per hour. The cabin provides comfortable seating for two with removable dual controls on the passenger side.

The R-22 is a classic example of design excellence. No other helicopter in its class can match its speed, reliability, affordable price, and low operating costs. The R-22 has fewer accidents due to aircraft or engine failure than other light helicopters, and Robinson's commitment to the highest quality in design, materials, and craftsmanship make it the enduring choice for flight training, radio traffic watch, power line patrol, and other applications that require performance, dependability, efficiency, and easy maintenance.

    Four-Seat Piston Workhorse

    Robinson R-44 Raven

Robinson R-44 Raven four-seat helicopter parked outside the Helicopter Experts hangar in Bulverde, Texas

For those who expect excellence and appreciate value, there's the Robinson R-44 Raven. Quite simply, the R-44 Raven delivers the performance of an expensive turbine helicopter at an affordable piston price. Its sleek design, impressive speed, and unparalleled reliability give it the competitive edge in today's fast-paced, changing environment.

The R-44 Raven is offered in two models. The Raven I offers a carburetor engine at an affordable piston price with high reliability, fuel economy, endurance, and comfortable hydraulic controls. It has a gross weight of 2,400 pounds and comes with fixed-utility floats like the Clipper I. The high-performance Raven II is designed for more payload with a gross weight of 2,500 pounds, higher altitudes, and faster speeds with all the luxuries of the Raven I. Both models can have air conditioning installed.

The Robinson R-44 can also be purchased as a Cadet — a two-seat version of the R-44 with the same rotor system as the Raven I but an aft baggage compartment for cargo. Maximum gross weight is 2,200 pounds, which allows for increased performance at higher altitudes.

    Five-Seat Turbine

    Robinson R-66 Turbine

The Robinson R-66 Turbine is a five-seater helicopter that incorporates many of the design features of its reputable predecessor, the R-44 — including a two-bladed rotor system, T-bar cyclic, and an open interior cabin configuration. The most notable differences are its increased reserve power and altitude performance, fifth seat, and large baggage compartment.

HID landing lights, leather seats, and a stereo audio control panel are standard in the R-66. Powered by a Rolls-Royce RR300 turbine, the R-66 is the right step up for owners ready to leave pistons behind without leaving Robinson reliability behind.
